A polychrome relief tile featuring Lord Krishna, his wife Radharani, and a sacred cow. The group stands by the tree lined shores of a lake, Krishna holds a flute, symbol of freedom (pranava). Condition: one or two glaze edge nicks; minor surface age and use wear; nothing further found. Circa 1920s-30s, impressed outline back, unmarked, probably M.S. Tile Works, Japan. Framed ready to hang. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. 15cm/6in square.
