An excellent shaft and globe "tumble up" water carafe and matching domed tumbler, expertly acid cameo cut to clear with a cranberry motif of leafy dog roses on a rendered leaf pattern ground, rims and bases have a cranberry band, the under-base of the tumbler is embellished with a twenty four point star. Condition: some stand wear to the carafe under-base; minor surface wear nothing further found. Circa 1920s, unmarked but definitely Baccarat, design Églantier, illustrated in the 1916 catalogue. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Combined height 19.5cm/7.75in, tumbler height 9cm/3.75in, carafe width 10cm/4in.
