A fine crystal bowl with diamond points between blue overlay down-swept rims over a tapering facet lower section and short round blue base, the base is embellished with a nine point star. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; one or two minute nicks to high points; light age and use wear; nothing further found. Circa 1930s-40s, unmarked but definitely Val St. Lambert, probably designed by Joseph Simon. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 12.5cm/5in, rim width 18cm/7.25in, weight 1.8kg/3.97lb.
