An eye catching and heavy cylinder vase in flashed amber, cut to clear on two faces with wading storks amongst bullrushes, and on the other two faces with three blue jays perching on a leafy bough. The faces and separated by triple split cuts; the facet base is embellished with a sixteen point star. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; light surface age and use wear; nothing further found. Circa 1930s, Bohemian or German. Dimensions based on centimetres and rounded to nearest quarter inch. Height 28cm/11.25in, rim diameter 12.5cm/5in, weight 2.38kg/5.25lb.
