A large oval porcelain plaque painted in blue and white with a semi-nude, diaphanously clad female nymph over water and in front of a large cluster of lilies. Condition: small restored chip to the reverse not visible from the front; area of short blue streaks above the head and below the cloud formation; light surface wear; nothing further found. Late C19th, unmarked, possibly Royal Doulton, the work signed "S. Taylor 1897". Framed ready for hanging. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height including frame 34cm/13.5in, width 23cm/9.25in.
