An unusual and attractive diamond and flute cut crystal dressing table bottle, the round donut body on a conical base, the latter embellished with a twenty four point star. The bottle has a sterling silver floral embossed hinged top, silver collar, and glass stopper. Condition: some stand wear to the under-base; one or two very tiny nicks to high points; light surface age and use wear; nothing further found. Silver hallmarked for London 1888, somewhat rubbed maker's mark for Howard Woodward & Co. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 20cm/8in, width 8cm/3.5in.
