A spherical crystal dressing table bottle, with a wide sterling silver hinged top - not engraved - and glass stopper. The body is cut with vertical and horizontal splits and triple groove crosses, the base is embellished with a twenty four point star. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; one or two microscopic nicks to high points; minor surface age and use wear; very minor interior bloom; nothing further found; hinge firm, good closure. Silver hallmarked for Birmingham 1942, rubbed maker's mark not readable. Dimensions based on centimetres and rounded to nearest quarter inch. Height 10.5cm/4.25in, diameter 9cm/3.5in. Second identical bottle also available.
