1965 beryl green crystal vase engraved by Rudolf Schwamberger for Moser

A superb and very tall beryl green crystal vase, with a facet cut lightly outswept upper section on a facet cut solid base. The vase is masterfully deep engraved by Rudolf Schwamberger with two fighting birds, the motif probably taken from mythology. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; light surface age and use wear; nothing further found. Signed 'Moser SR 1965 Karlovy Vary', base with acid etched centenary stamp 'Moser 1857-1957, Made in Czechoslovakia', For the engraver's mark see Moser 1857-1997, Jan Mergel, Lenka Pankova, 1997, page 337. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 35cm/14in, rim diameter 23.5cm/9.5in, weight 4.86kg/10.71lb.
