c.1840 alabaster glass beaker with enamelled medallions, Adolfhütte or Egermann

A fine alabaster glass beaker cased in pastel blue and cut with six medallions, a relief band of ovals, and facets. The medallions feature different hand enamelled polychrome rose sprays. Condition: light rubbing to the enamel; light age and use wear; nothing further found. Circa 1840-1850, base with painted anchor mark suggests Anton Egermann as the maker, Adolfhütte bei Winterberg also produced similar pieces. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 12cm/4.75in, rim diameter 8.5cm/3.5in.
