A fine blue overlay crystal dressing table bottle and bun top stopper, the latter cut with a radial burst, as well as a hobnail and diamond band between parallel grooves. The bottle has an eight sided fact cut neck, stepped shoulders, and hobnail and diamond patterning similar to the stopper; the base is embellished with a twenty four point star. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; one or two tiny nicks to high points; minor surface wear; nothing further found; stopper and neck stylus marked '12'. Circa 1900, Val St. Lambert, Belgium, pattern name 'Hob-Diamond'. Height 15cm/6in, diameter 6.5cm/2.5in.
