c.1920s black amethyst glass vase, animor style elephant frieze

An exceptional tall, ten facet cut deep amethyst vase, the cup shape bowl on a pedestal stem over a spreading base. The bowl is decorated with a wide acid etched frieze of gilded elephants among grasses, palm trees, distant mountains and birds.
