c.1920s French acid cameo lily of the valley bowl with plated rim, signed Lorraine

An excellent cranberry to clear textured glass bowl, acid cameo cut with lily of the valley sprays hand decorated in white and gilt. The bowl is mounted with a flower spray and drape pattern silver plate rim band, and further plain band to the base. Condition: rubbing to the plate rim band; base band has some tiny nobbles; some light rubbing to the decoration, mostly the gilt; light surface age and use wear; nothing further found. Circa 1920s, the base signed in gilt 'Lorraine' with a cross of Lorraine above a rectangle for Verreries Lorraines SA, Sarrebourg, France, maker's mark on the rim plate 'GP', the letters either side of a crowned head. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 11cm/4.5in, rim diameter 20cm/8in.
