c.1930s Paul Daum Pierre d'Avesn moulded Deco glass bowl in metal stand

A stylish Deco moulded glass bowl mounted in a geometric plated metal stand. The acid finish six sided tapered bowl features net and chevron designs, the geometric handles lead to a patterned base band. Condition: some light marking to the frosted acid finish; light rubbing to the plate; light age and use wear to same; nothing further found. Late 1920s to 30s, the bowl relief marked 'Lorrain Nancy France' for Verriers d'Art Lorrain founded by Paul Daum and managed by Pierre D'Avesn, maker's mark on the plate 'GW' for George Weinthal. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Basket height including handles 13.5cm/5.5in, bowl height 9.5cm/3.75in, bowl rim width 20.5cm/8.25cm.
