c.1930s Stuart crystal Devil decanter

An iconic Deco decanter and matching stopper, the mushroom shape stopper cut with a twenty four point star, the baluster form decanter with a wide rim over facet shoulders and twenty four point star to the base. The body is hand enamelled with the Devil in red and black holding a green filled glass, the rim is embellished with a red band. Condition: light stand wear to the under-base; light surface wear; nothing further found. Circa 1930s, acid etched mark 'Stuart' over 'England'. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 22cm/8.75in, width 8.5cm/3.5in.
