c.1930s Verlys France Art Deco opalescent glass Lauriers vase

An excellent ovoid opalescent Deco vase (1934 catalogue name 'Les Lauriers'), with a banded rim and bold angular forms between relief moulded bay leaves and berries. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; one or two very tiny nicks to high points and edges; light surface wear; nothing further found. Circa 1930s, stylus signed 'Verlys'. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 27cm/10.75in, width 20cm/8in, weight 4.02kg/8.86lb.
