c.1936 R. Lalique Le Vin Du Clos advertising dish coaster

A bottle coaster by Lalique made exclusively for the wine merchant, Pierre Weissenburger, based in the Alsace town of Obernai. The coaster has a relief grape bunch and vine rim, the centre features the profile of St. Odile, the entire text reads 'Le Vin du Clos St. Odile Rejoutes Les Coeurs' and 'Pierre Weissenburgerr Obernai'. Condition: light surface wear, one or two tiny grit flecks in the glass; nothing further found. Circa 1936, signed 'R Lalique'. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Diameter 15.7cm/6.25in, height 2.5cm/1in.
