A most impressive citrine colour vase, the thick walled bucket form on a frosted and clear wavy edge solid base. The front features an acid etched stylised depiction of the three graces amongst flowers and leaf sprays, the back is cut with a series of bold circles and shapes. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; light surface age and use wear; one or two tiny natural bubbles in the glass; nothing further found. Circa 1940-44, unmarked but unmistakably the work of Antonin Poustka, Fachscule Eisenbrod. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 25cm/10in, rim diameter 17.5cm/7in, weight 3.58kg/7.89lb.
