c.1950s Bourjois novelty bedroom door with Evening in Paris scent perfume bottle

A good example of the Bourjois Evening in Paris novelty container range that includes a champagne bucket, owl, grandfather clock, Eiffel tower, clam, turtle, horseshoe, and the one offered here, a mottled blue hotel bedroom door with his and hers shoes outside. The hinged 'B' door reveals a small blue glass phial of perfume (two-thirds full) with a grey-blue screw top and tassel. Condition: her shoes reattached to the door; light wear to the foil door strip; some rubbing to the bottle label; nothing further found; hinge firm, good closure. Circa 1950s, this version made of plastic, reverse with relief moulded wording 'Bourjois' 'London - Paris' 'Regd. 832,419' 'Made in England'. Dimensions based on centimetres and rounded to nearest quarter inch. Container 9.5cm/3.75in high, 5.5cm/2.25in wide, 4cm/1.75in deep, bottle height 8.5cm/3.5in.
