c.1950s yellow porcelain vase with Spahr 1000 silver overlay

An amphora shape Greek handle porcelain vase, the upper and lower section of the lemon yellow ground overlaid in full silver, the middle section with a leaf and berry band. Condition: one or two small and unobtrusive areas of light silver buckling, one to the under-rim, and one to a handle corner; light age and use wear; nothing further found. Circa 1950s, under-base stamped 'Spahr' for Friedrich Wilhelm Spahr & Co. plus '1000 10' for silver purity. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 14.5cm/5.75in.
