A good George III laydown flat scent bottle, with a silver screw top, and glass stopper. The elongated oval bottle is cut to the front and back with blazes and rectangles, the sides with scoops. Condition: one or two very tiny nicks to high points; light age and use wear; minor dimpling to the top; nothing further found; good screw fit. Circa 1800-1820, silver marked with maker's initials 'I(orJ)T' for Joseph Taylor. Measurement based on centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 8.7cm/3.5in, width 2.5cm/1in.
