A delightful small bowl on a hollow pedestal base, the flashed amber masterfully decorated in flat gilding with scrolling leaf, flower head, and tendril patterns, the bowl cut to clear with a band of strawberry diamonds with central blue hobnail, the base facet cut to clear and embellished with gilt outlines. Condition: very light rubbing to the gilt; light age and use wear; nothing further found. Circa 1900, Josephinenhütte. Dimensions based on centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch.
