A most attractive cobalt glass circular box and cover, the lid and sides decorated with an acid cut and gilded "Danse de Flore" motif on a stipple ground, the lid within an anthemion border. Condition: some light rubbing to the gilt; stand wear to the under-base; light age and use wear; nothing further found; large indented and polished pontil. Circa 1930s, the side marked with a "VSL" roundel. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 7cm/3in, diameter 10.5cm/4.25in.
