A fine smoky grey jug with a pulled up spout and applied handle. The body is hand enamelled in polychrome and gilt in the Japanese taste with honeysuckle, flowers, berries, a long leafy twig, flying insects, and a trellis design. Condition: light rubbing to the decoration, mostly the gilt; stand wear to the under-base; light surface wear; nothing further found. Circa 1900, unmarked, quite possibly Theresthienthal.
