A splendid pair of sea green vases of ovoid shape with rippled rims over spun thread necks and short conical bases. The vases are hand decorated in raised polychrome enamel with swimming fish and exotic, coral like aquatic plants, the base of the neck and body are embellished with bead bands. Condition: stand wear to the under-bases; some gilt water highlights around the fish are a little rubbed; gilt worn around the bases; minor surface wear; nothing further found; indented pontils. Circa 1900, vases are marked "1" and "2" in gilt on the base, probably Harrach, Bohemia. Height 25cm/10in, width 11.5cm/4.5in.
