An excellent oval amethyst vase with an acid mottled surface, the lower section mounted with a plated Art Nouveau design featuring a female figure - she holds a cabochon decorated stem aloft - above whiplash foliage, the rim section is cased with a plated bellflower, leaf and scrollwork mount. Condition: light rubbing to the plate; light surface wear; nothing further found; polished pontil. Circa 1900, unsigned but unmistakably Legras France.
