A very handsome pink tinged crystal urn and cover. The cover has a diamond cut knob and bun finial over a flute cut waist and spreading diamond leaf and mitre cut skirt. The diamond leaf design continues on the bowl between relief ribbons above cut steps and facets, the bowl sits on a fluted ring and facet stepped pedestal on a square base, the underside cut in a square baguette grid. Condition: some edge damage to the base professionally removed and polished; nicks to some high points and edges; light wear; slight wobble on a flat surface; nothing further found. Early 19th century, almost certainly Irish. Height 30cm/12in, total width 13cm/5in, square base depth 9cm/3.5in, weight 1.48kg/3.26lb.
