A handsome amber urn and canopy cover on a square base. The canopy has a star cut bun finial over a diamond band, facet skirt and cross cut rim, the vase has a flute cut neck over a wide diamond band and facet pedestal, the under-base in embellished with a sixteen point star. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; one or two tiny nicks to high points; light wear; nothing further found. Circa 1850, probably Waterfords. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 18cm/7.25in, square base width 6cm/2.5in.
