An excellent flashed amber souvenir dish in a circular drop design spreading out from a shallow central well and base. The well features a masterfully engraved view of the town of Wiesbaden - in Hessen, Germany - and surrounding countryside within a bead and comb border. Sixteen engraved edge roundels show the town's attractions and beauty spots: Kochbrunnen, front and back view of the Kursaal, Düringer Gartenanlage; Kolonnade; Vierjahrszeiten hotel; Theater, Post, Schützenhof, Kaserne, Palais, Handels-Bibliotheck, Platte, Geisburg, Sonnenburg, Dietenmühle. Condition: light surface marks to the well, light age and use wear; nothing further found. Circa 1910-20. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Diameter 22cm/8.75in. height 2cm/0.75in.
