A fine opalescent Deco charger, relief moulded with a bird of paradise, flower heads and scrolling ferns, the rim is embellished with a bead and wavy edge band. Condition: light surface age and use wear; two small bubbles under the glass; nothing further found; displays an excellent fire - if you have any questions about this item, contact me. Late 1920s early 1930s, designed by Pierre D'Avesn for Verriers D'Art Lorrain (Paul Daum), signed with a moulded "D'Avesn" mark on the bird feathers plus additional numbers "163". Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Diameter 38cm/15in, weight 3.42kg/7.5lb.
