A delightful miniature stein with applied handle, masterfully decorated with green and blue cabochons as well as finely executed polychrome enamels, gold and gilt work. Condition: light rubbing to the decoration, mostly the gilt; light wear; nothing further found; the blue tinge is daylight, the glass is not coloured. Circa 1885, unsigned but almost certainly Moser. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 5.5cm/2in, rim diameter 3.5cm/1.25in.
