An excellent and tall lilac overlay decanter and conforming spire stopper, the tapered form cut to clear with facets, diamonds, vessicas, fans, and star bursts, the under-base is embellished with a thirty two point radial star. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; one or two microscopic nicks to high points; minor surface wear; nothing further found. Design dates from circa 1900, this decanter probably 1950s, unmarked but definitely by Val St. Lambert, shape "Pyramide". Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 40cm/16in, base diameter 10cm/4in.
