A splendid facet cut crystal tapered scent bottle and eight sided conforming stopper, the latter acid etched with a seated female figure blowing polished bubbles in an outdoor setting, cupid holds a polished bowl. The neck of the bottle is mounted with French silver. Condition: some stand wear to the under-base; light surface wear; light interior bloom; nothing further found; original dauber. Circa 1930s, Heinrich Hoffmann, stopper with acid etched butterfly mark, probably designed by Adolf Beckert, identified in the 1933 Hoffmann catalogue, page 26, silver hallmarked with a Minerva head and maker's mark.
