A rare crystal scent bottle with a three dimensional Venus de Milo stopper, the latter complete with dauber. The facet cut bottle has a zigzag form lower section, and is acid etched to the front, back and sides with leaf sprays and floral motifs. Condition: some stand wear to the under-base; light surface age and use wear; light interior bloom; nothing further found. Circa 1930s, Joseph Hoffmann, stopper identified in the 1933-47 Hoffmann catalogue. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 15.5cm/6.25in, width 6.5cm/2.75in.
