A drop shape porcelain scent bottle with a cork lined silver gilt screw top. The milk ground body is hand enamelled with polychrome flower heads, leaf spray and foliate scrolls all highlighted in gilt. Condition: light rubbing to the decoration, minor wear; nothing further found; good screw fit . The top hallmarked for Birmingham 1883, maker's mark "CM" for Charles May. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 8cm/3in.
