A striking, large ball shape uranium glass scent bottle, with a pull-off sterling silver top, silver collar, and glass stopper. The bottle is acid cameo cut with gilt highlighted cherry blossom and leafy twigs in pink over a satin finish pale cream-yellow ground with a hint of green. Condition: minor rubbing to the gilt; light surface wear; slight dimpling to the silver top; nothing further found, reacts strongly to UV/blacklight. Silver hallmarked for London 1918, maker's mark "CM" for Charles May, under-base marked "patent", probably Stourbridge. Height 11.5cm/4.5in, diameter 9.5cm/3.75in.
