A fine and scarce amethyst over soft white opaline glass circular scent bottle, the body cut with a central hub and radiating spokes. The bottle has a silver gilt hinged top, suspensory ring, and glass stopper. Condition: light surface age and use wear; nothing further found; hinge firm, good snap closure. French, the top hallmarked with a rabbit's head used between 1819 - 1838. Dimensions based on centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 6cm/2.25in, diameter.
