An elegant cut crystal wavy edge tapered scent bottle, with a 14 carat gold facet and embossed hinged top, gold collar, and glass stopper. Condition: one or two tiny nicks to high points; light surface wear; nothing further found; hinge play but good closure. Circa 1880, hallmarked with an oak leaf and maker's mark. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 11cm/4.33in, width 4.5cm/1.77in, depth 2cm/0.79in.
