A rare rhomboid form Venetian glass scent bottle, with a patterned brass hinged top set with a green cabochon, brass collar, suspensory chain with finger ring, and cork plug stopper. The yellow glass body is decorated with silver aventurine inclusions, the front features a canework profile head of a king with long hair (possibly a representation of Christ), the back a canework gondola. Condition: brass top deformed and is angled downwards in profile (see image), some wear to the top; light surface and use wear to the body commensurate with age; nothing further found; light hinge play but good lid closure.
