An elegant spherical crystal dressing table bottle with a sterling silver hinged top - the latter ornately engraved with initials "CP" within a flower spray cartouche - silver collar and glass stopper. The body is engraved with a pattern of triple lines, the base is embellished with a twenty four point star. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; minor dimpling to the top; light age and use wear; minor interior bloom around the base; nothing further found; some hinge play but satisfactory closure. Silver hallmarked for Birmingham 1920, maker's mark "H&H Ld" for Hasselt & Harper. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 12.5cm/5in, diameter 9cm/3.75in.
