A petite rectangular cut crystal dressing table bottle with bevelled corners, and glass stopper, topped by a sterling silver screw lid, the latter decorated with a finely hand enamelled Chinoiserie scene of boats, a figure, temple, trees, flying cranes, and mountains in the distance. Condition: light age and use wear; one or two microscopic nicks to high points; nothing further found. Silver hallmarked for Birmingham 1928, somewhat rubbed maker's mark "H.C.D." for Henry Clifford Davis. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 7.5cm/3in.
