A fine shaft and urn white cased glass scent bottle with a gilded spire stopper and short concave round base. The bottle is masterfully cut to clear with looped panels, drops and leaves, the former hand painted with flower and leaf sprays, the body is further embellished with gilt foliate scrollwork and gilt bands. Condition: some rubbing to the gilt, mostly the bands; light surface age and use wear; nothing further found. Bohemian, mid to later 19th century. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 23.5cm/9.25in.
