A splendid and heavy tapered rectangular form crystal dressing table bottle and conforming stopper, the upper section masterfully decorated in raised gilt with a Greek key band and leaf trails. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; light external and internal surface wear and marks; nothing further found; wide indented polished pontil, stopper and base scratch marked "50". Circa 1890, French, unmarked, probably by Baccarat or St. Louis. Dimensions based on centimetres and rounded to nearest quarter inch. Height 22cm/8.75in, width 7.5cm/3in, depth 6cm/2.5in.
