A handsome rectangular green overlay crystal dressing table bottle with a bound myrtle leaf pattern pull-off plated top - the latter engraved with a ducal crown and entwined initials - and bun shape glass stopper. The bottle is cut to clear with blades, stars, and pillars, the base is embellished with a thirty two point star. Condition: stand wear to the under-base; minor surface age and use wear; minor dimpling to the lid; very minor interior bloom; nothing further found. Circa 1890, French, top unmarked but does test for silver. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 14.5cm/5.75in, width 6.5cm/2.5in.
