A square silver scent bottle, with a hinged dome top and glass stopper. The front has a shield cartouche engraved with entwined initials, the body is engraved with foliate scrollwork. Condition: one very minor dimple to the body; light surface wear; nothing further found; minor hinge play but good closure. Rubbed silver hallmarks for 1851, maker's mark not found. Article measured in centimetres and rounded up or down to the nearest quarter inch. Height 4.5cm/1.75in.
