An appealing cylinder form scent bottle, with a hinged top, silver gilt crenelated mount, and glass stopper. The bottle is decorated in the round with polychrome enamels and features a female figure seated in front of a tree, a basket of flowers at her feet, the top is painted with a garland of roses. Condition: stopper frozen; rubbing to the gilt; light surface wear; nothing further found; hinge firm, good closure. Circa 1870, hallmarked with a boar's head. 5.5cm/2in high, 1.7cm/0.67in diameter.
