A charming cylinder form scent bottle, with a hinged top, silver gilt mount, and glass stopper. The bottle is decorated in the round with polychrome enamels and features a cherub fishing in a rustic lake, the top and bottom are painted with a continuation of the scene. Condition: some rubbing to the gilt; light surface wear; nothing further found; hinge firm, good closure. Circa 1870, hallmarked with a boar's head. 4.8cm/1.89in high, 1.5cm/0.59in diameter.
