A silver plate cylinder scent bottle, with a hinged lid and glass stopper. The bottle is decorated in relief with a "Waterloo" plaque to the lid, a profile head and shoulders portrait of Napoleon, as well as iris flower heads and long swirling leaves: Condition: some rubbing to the plate; some surface age and use wear; nothing further found; hinge firm, good snap closure. Probably a souvenir made for the 100th anniversary of the battle in 1915. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 6cm/2.25in.
