A striking and large Art Nouveau oval porcelain plaque set in a wavy edge and pierced yellow metal tray surround. The plaque features a female profile and poppy cluster on a deep blue ground. Condition: light surface and use wear to the plaque, light surface wear and minor oxidation to the metal; nothing further found. Circa 1905, the reverse with impressed works number "SR" over "8934" plus additional painted marks "A" over "6318" over "4". Designed by Carl Luber for Johann von Schwarz, Nürnberg.
