An Art Nouveau polychrome tubeline tile with stylised flower heads and coiled stems in white, yellow and blue on smoky olive half shields, the whole on a pale grey-green ground. Condition: minor surface wear; typical glaze crazing; nothing further found. Circa 1905, bar and comb back, Boizenburger Wandplattenfabrik, Germany. Framed, ready for hanging. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Tile 15cm/6in square, frame 18.5cm/7.5in square.
