An art Nouveau relief tubeline tile featuring a highly stylised design of six triangular petals in dark crimson on a white outline whiplash stem under a double arch, the whole on a mid steel-blue ground. Condition: minor surface wear; light glaze crazing; nothing further found. Circa 1910, bar and factory stamp back, Wessel, Bonn, Germany. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. 14.5cm/5.75in square.
